For a number of years in the sixties the Mechanised Division held their children's Christmas Party at the Commodore International. The majority of parents were ushered into a downstairs bar (which was open), out the way, whilst the remainder entertained the children, and a good time was had by all.!

Peeping from behind the rear left screen was Colin(Strangler) Westwood. At far right rear (under LADIES sign was Paul Squires holding his daughter, then Harry Wilkinson and Keith Bosworth.  On the stage - looking away was Duggie Parmenter who led the band at that time. Many moons ago along with his twin sister, Joan, they were an important part of the Hames Hague accordian band
