All the players were Nottingham Traafic Wing officers except the goalie, Ian Phillips who was from Ollerton Traffic. "I hadn't played for a couple of years and got a phone call from Dennis Timson (Inspector at TD(N)) on the Friday before the game because the regular keeper was injured.Conversation briefly was, Dennis - I understand you play in goal. Me - I used to but I haven't for some time. Dennis - Do you fancy a game on Sunday at Carrington. Me - Yeah. Thanks. So Dennis tells me when where etc; and I then remember to ask, By the way. Who are we playing?
