Taken on the 31st,May,1979 at the end of Victoria Embankment,Nottingham, this is from Paul Squires.

" By this time I was stationed at Southwell.The officer pictured with me is Pc 1698 Mick Bostock. We were there because Forest had just won the European Cup and all Divisions had to supply officers for the victory parade. Little did either Mick or I know then that we would both end up with serious injuries from incidents involving motor vehicles whilst on duty in later years. If memory serves me correctly Mick was injured in an incident at Newark not that long after this picture was taken. He was obliged to leave the job following his recovery but has worked as a civillian with the Police for many years,mostly as a Scenes of Crime Officer."
