Pc Jimmy "Jock" McKinlay

Pictured with a Vauxhall Velox patrol car on Graylands Road, Bilborough in the early 1950s, this is Pc Jimmy 'Jock' McKinlay transferred from Glasgow in 1949 to Nottingham City Police where he retired in 1973 as Sgt.106 at Central. Jock lived with his family on Stagsden Crescent in Bilborough, one of six Police Houses,neighbours being amongst others Jack Sly, Walter Riley, Jerry Hookway and Les Joyce.
During his service he worked Mechanised and Uniform mainly on Northern. He died in 1986.
