This view in April 1973 shows crowds outside the Meadow Lane entrance to the football ground. Notts County was formed in 1862 and was a founder member of the English Football League in 1888. The Meadow Lane stadium, the clubs home since 1910, was completely rebuilt in the 1990's at a cost of £8 million and has a capacity of 20,300, all seated.
