Standing by at the Miners' Strike

Pcs Phil Eustace, Mick Haslam and Barry Walklate relax during standby duty with Nottingham's Bedford Cell Blocks during the Miners' Strike in 1984. Their brief was to travel to any of the coal pits in the county that was anticipating trouble usually at pit shift changes as the "flying pickets" did their best to intimidate working miners.
