Two new Triumphs

Nottingham City Police Traffic Department.Spring 1961. Pc499 Terry Savage and Pc456 Dennis Wright (soon to transfer to the Met) with the new Triumph motor cycles equiped with the new transistor radios.These replaced the old bulky valve sets carried in large maroon boxes mounted over the rear wheels. At a stroke both road handling and radio reception were vastly improved.
