Chris Akers and Paul Woodward take it steady during a display by the Blue Darts motocycle display team on the Forest in 1982. This was part of the Link Up initiative to promote police relations following the riots in a few parts of Nottingham earlier in the year.

It is assumed that the refreshments for the lads weren't provided by the Shipstone trailer!
