Under Bonnet Inspection

Photo: Geoff Hallam

Pc Geoff Hallam's Triumph 2000 is inspected by Sir Stanley Peck at an HMI Inspection in 1968.
Also looking on is Supt Dennis Silverwood and the HMI's aid. In the background, to the right with a Ford Zephyr, is believed to be Dereck Hufton, ex County Officer.

You can almost hear the converstation, "Officer, how did you get the engine so clean and sparkling?"

"Blue ink, SIr. Lots and lots of blue ink. Works wonders in getting things just how you want them."

Chief Superintendent Mogridge then turns to Geoff, "Very funny, Hallam. Now get the bonnet hinged from the rear like it should be!"
