Pc Wilson and Pc Baker, City Force

Pc's Dennis Wilson and Geoff Baker the two tallest officers in the Force near the steps of the Council House, Nottingham. Note they are in winter dress, Greatcoat Order. The time late 1950's or early 1960's. Smartness with distinction!

Some members of the City Police Force, in the early 1960s on parade in the Fire Brigade Yard at the Guildhall,Nottingham, led by PC Geoff Baker. The occasion was the HMI's Inspection (believed to be Commander Willis- who was taking the salute during the march-past. This is when the majority of the Central Division Officers exceeded 6' in height. Among the parade are 5 ex Grenadier and 1 Welsh Guardsmen. Many others too were ex military men.
