Another Job Ditched!

I will spare the blushes of the driver who put this Granada in the ditch by not stating his name (but it rhymes with Heave Bring!)
While responding to an accident down Sutton Bonnington way, the officer rounded a sharp bend to be confronted by two lady equestrians riding their mounts in the centre of the country lane. Now anti-lock-braking is good......but it ain't that good..... and, with nowhere else to go, the ditch seemed to be the best next port of call.

The story goes that immediately after coming to rest in the ditch, our gallant hero opened the drivers door of the overturned car in a way similar to how a submarine- commander would emerge to be confronted by a big bemused horse peering down on him and a similarly bemused lady horse rider asking if he was alright.
