Any colour so long as it's black!

It was Henry Ford who announced in the early days of massed-produced motor cars that the customer could have a car in any colour so long as it was black. The County Force seemed to take this seriously even to the extent of breaking up the colour only by adding the POLICE sign in tiny lettering on the roof beacon. This Mark 2 Ford Cortina was photographed outside St Giles Parish Church, West Bridgford.
