Pc Denis "Tug" Wilson

As much a part of the Old Market Square as the Lions, Tug Wilson was perhaps one of the most well known and certainly most-photographed officers of Nottingham Central. An ex-Grenadier Guardsman, Dennis was one of the pall-bearers at the funeral of King George VI.

At 7 feet tall in his helmet, Dennis retired in 1983.
