The New BMW

This photograph was taken at the Trent Embankment just prior to the annual Rememberance Parade in 1980. A few eyebrows were raised at the irony of using these brand new German motorcycles on that occasion for the first time.

Ironically as well as being the first officer to be allocated to the new BMWs, Paul was also the last to use them before they were replaced by Japanese Hondas in 2002
